About AwardThe company is the brainchild of Hut, a Brownwood, Texas native whose prowess on his high school’s football team earned him an athletic scholarship to the University of North Texas, where he studied for a degree in Kinesiology, which is the science of movement.

Hut played running back for the University of North Texas and was so successful that he was a Doak Walker nominee as one of the best running backs in Division 1A.

Hut knew his passion was helping people to achieve their personal fitness goals, so he chose to enter the health and fitness industry. In 2000, Hut completed his studies to become a qualified Personal Fitness Trainer in Dallas and he went on to establish New Wave Fitness, Inc. in 2002.

Hut and his staff are experts in their field, and apply their knowledge to ensure their clients receive the most up-to-date information throughout every workout. All exercise programs are custom fit, having been tailor made for each individual client, taking into account their needs and current fitness level.


Hut and his team will carefully guide you through the most beneficial exercises, which will include strength and conditioning work to help you build muscle, and cardiovascular work to improve your aerobic fitness.
